Mississauga Santa Claus Parade and tree lighting
Saturday, November 21, 2026 · 4 – 7 p.m. · Celebration Square, 300 City Centre Drive · Free
The City’s signature holiday event: glowing floats wind through the City Centre and finish at Celebration Square, where Mississauga lights its official Christmas tree and opens its largest outdoor ice rink for the season. This year’s theme is “Sauga’s Home for the Holidays.” Expect road closures around the City Centre. See Santa Claus parades in Peel and Christmas at Celebration Square.
Streetsville’s Christmas in the Village
Friday, November 20 and Saturday, November 21, 2026
Streetsville’s free village festival is one of the most charming in the GTA. In 2025 it centred on Village Square at Queen Street South and Main Street, with a Friday-evening tree lighting, an artisan Christmas market, photos with Santa, a toy drive, horse-drawn carriage rides, a petting zoo, kids’ rides and live music. It’s a great alternative to the busier downtown events.
Clarkson’s Christmas in the Village
Thursday, November 26, 2026
A neighbourhood holiday celebration in Clarkson Village in south-west Mississauga.
Markets
Mississauga’s market season runs from church bazaars in mid-November to the Arts on the Credit Holiday Market (November 28), the Streetsville Legion Christmas Craft Market (December 5) and the Mississauga Arts Council’s Cranberry Christmas Market (December 12).
