Peel Region does its Santa Claus parades after dark. In 2026, both Mississauga and Brampton hold evening parades on the same night, Saturday, November 21, the night before Toronto’s parade, so you could catch one of them and still be downtown for the Original Santa Claus Parade on Sunday.

Mississauga Santa Claus Parade

Saturday, November 21, 2026 · 4 – 7 p.m. · Celebration Square, 300 City Centre Drive · Free

Mississauga’s parade has become a signature downtown event. Glowing floats wind through the City Centre and finish at Celebration Square, where the evening also brings the lighting of the City’s Christmas tree and the opening of the square’s outdoor ice rink, the largest in the city. This year’s theme is “Sauga’s Home for the Holidays,” celebrating the traditions and cultures of Mississauga families.

  • The City will publish the route closer to the date.
  • Expect road closures around the City Centre.
  • Arrive early for a spot near the square, where the tree lighting happens.

More about the square in Christmas at Mississauga Celebration Square.

Brampton Nighttime Santa Claus Parade

Saturday, November 21, 2026 · 5 p.m. · Free

Brampton’s parade is the 32nd edition of its nighttime Santa Claus Parade, presented by Rotary with the City of Brampton. Lit floats and bands travel from the Bramalea and Central Park area to North Park Drive and Jordan Boulevard. Check the parade’s website for the detailed route map and road closures before you go.

Bolton Santa Claus Parade, Caledon

Date to be announced · Usually starts at 11 a.m.

Bolton’s community parade travels north along Highway 50 (Queen Street) from Queensgate Boulevard to Centennial Drive. It’s a small-town parade with local groups and Santa at the end. Watch Visit Caledon for the 2026 date. See Christmas in Caledon.

Mississauga or Brampton: which parade?

Mississauga Brampton
Feel A big-city downtown parade with a tree lighting afterwards A long-running community nighttime parade
Where Around Celebration Square and City Centre Bramalea, ending near Jordan Boulevard
Afterwards Tree lighting and skating at Celebration Square Dinner and holiday shopping nearby
Transit from Toronto GO buses and MiWay to City Centre GO Train to Bramalea

Because both are on the same evening, pick the one closest to you, or the one that fits the rest of your plans.

Bolton and Caledon

Caledon’s Santa Claus parade in Bolton has a small-town feel, with local groups, farm equipment and community floats. It’s a great choice if you live in north Peel or want a quieter parade. See Christmas in Caledon.

Make a weekend of it

Parade weekend is the busiest weekend of the season. On Saturday evening, catch a Peel parade; on Sunday, head downtown for the Original Santa Claus Parade, or join the runners in the Holly Jolly Fun Run before it. Add a stop at Streetsville’s Christmas in the Village if you’re in Mississauga on Friday.

Peel Region Santa Claus parades: FAQ

When are the Mississauga and Brampton parades in 2026? Both are on Saturday, November 21, 2026, in the late afternoon and evening.

Are Peel parades free? Yes. All are free to watch.

Is there a tree lighting after the Mississauga parade? Yes, at Celebration Square. See Celebration Square at Christmas.

Tips for evening parades

  • Dress for the cold after dark. Temperatures drop quickly once the sun sets just before 5 p.m.
  • Bring a flashlight or glow sticks for kids, and agree on a meeting spot.
  • Use transit where you can. MiWay and Brampton Transit detour routes around the parades, and parking near the routes fills early.
  • Bring a non-perishable food donation; many GTA parades collect for local food banks.
